Adult and Child Neurologist

Description:

The Department of Neurology at Stony Brook University, SUNY, has unique positions available for Adult and Child Neurologists. The Department has accredited training programs in neurology, child neurology, clinical neurophysiology and vascular neurology; there are  strong programs in Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, General Neurology, Neuromuscular Disease, Autism, and Clinical Trials. The Department offers special opportunities in the areas of neuroimaging, stem cell research and translational research.

Long Island’s only academic health science center, Stony Brook’s Health Sciences Center is located at the geographic midpoint of Long Island’s north shore with a top rated school districted. This scenic locale, situated for ideal access to the TriState area and New England, is a desirable environment to live, work and raise a family.

Our strength lies in the multidisciplinary interactions of our education, patient care and research and our productive partnerships with Brookhaven National Laboratory and Cold Spring Harbor.

Neurologists with interest in subspecialties are welcome. Faculty with subspecialty interest in movement disorders, pain/headache, behavioral neurology/dementia, stroke and multiple sclerosis are particularly attractive.
