Alzheimer's Disease Assistance Center of Long Island

The ADAC-LI is funded by the State of New York to provide assistance to families and individuals with memory disorders. The program provides education and training to caregivers, and support groups for individuals and family members. Diagnostic evaluations and state-of-the art treatment recommendations are also available. Information and assistance with social services and community resources is provided by the program director.

The Center is directed by Mark Sedler, MD MPH who completed a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School and is board certified in geriatric psychiatry. The program director is Darlene Jyringi, M.P.S. who is certified in gerontology and specializes in dementia care counseling.
