Child and Adolescent Outpatient Services

The Child and Adolescent Outpatient Service offers an in-depth psychiatric evaluation of children and adolescents with many different types of psychiatric disorders including attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, learning disorders, pervasive developmental disorders and autism, mood and anxiety disorders and learning disorders.  Our experienced child and adolescent psychiatry faculty have developed national reputations as well as specialization and research in a number of these areas.

Our Outpatient Division is engaged in a number of clinical studies of different medications for children and adolescents.  These studies offer detailed psychiatric evaluations as part of the process.  A number of children are seen for follow-up treatment in our Mood and Anxiety Disorders Clinic and the Stimulant Clinic.  A short-term group therapy program for depressed and anxious children is also available.

For an appointment call (631) 632-8850.
